Know About Dental Veneer
Anybody who frequently visits the dentist will surely have heard of a dental veneer. Many people have heard the name, but there are hardly any who know what exactly it is. A dental veneer is a wafer like thin shell in the color of the tooth which is used to provide a cover to the tooth’s surface. Mostly these are used on the front part of the teeth to improve the appearance of the teeth. These have to be fitted to the tooth so they come in different shapes and sizes and the shape can be easily manipulated.
Mostly one can find two kinds of dental veneer. One of them is made from resin composite material and the other is made of porcelain. The porcelain resists stain and thus are more aesthetic. The resin veneer on the other hand are thin and thus to place them one needs lesser surface. The dentist is the best person to judge which of these two are better for the individual and which one should be used. Most of the times, the veneer is used for aesthetic purposes.
